Godetia seed sampler

Godetia (Satin Flower) Clarkia amoena

You will receive a small selection of seeds from my garden. They are contained in a small scrapbooked card with a little door on the back. They are reusable when treated gently and make cute gifts for a gardener. 

 These are lovely little whimsical flowers that have lots of pinks and white variation depending on the individual stem.  They're a delicate looking light petal similar to a dainty poppy with a pretty translucence in the light. Multiple buds sprout up the stalks and they bloom throughout summer.  The seed pods are narrow little buds that dry and curl whimsically at the tips before waiting to fall and dump out their seeds from segmented pods. They bear a lot of similarity to an oriental/breadseed poppy.

The deer, if you have them around may nibble on the tips of these stems to sample but typically leave them alone. Luckily they are not a top favorite in the garden so many  make it to seed every year.
